New Zealander Bridget is a Melbourne-based singer, actress and teacher.

 

Bridget played the role of Christine Daaé in the original West End production of Phantom of the Opera and most recently, in the new production at the Sydney Opera House and Arts Centre Melbourne. Upon finishing her Phantom contract with Opera Australia, Bridget has gone on to originate the role of Eva in Driftwood the Musical, in a Sydney and Melbourne tour.

 

Bridget moved to London in 2013 to study a Post Graduate Diploma in Musical Theatre at the Royal Academy of Music. Prior to this she graduated from the New Zealand School of Music with a Bachelor of Music and a Post Graduate Diploma in Music. Bridget has trained in Estill Voice International, Levels One and Two, under the tutelage of Paul Farrington.

Her theatre credits include Princess Beautiful (The Tinderbox, Charing Cross Theatre), Princess Ida (Princess Ida, Finborough Theatre), Soloist/Ensemble (Thursford Christmas Spectacular), Ensemble (Madame Butterfly, New Zealand Opera), Ensemble (The Bartered Bride, New Zealand Opera). Bridget also played the role of Swing and Understudy Christine in the London production of Phantom, being a member of the company from 2016-2020.

Recently, Bridget performed as a soloist in concert with the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra in “A Night of Sondheim” at The Civic Theatre. While in London, she had the honour of singing the New Zealand and British national anthems at the ANZAC Day Dawn Service at Hyde Park Corner.
